Cardigan

I think I'm going to make this for dd.

For some reason I'm really nervous about it. I'm making it with my cadmium HPY merino.

I did get some shorts done for a trade but have not taken a pic yet.

I was going to start some socks but haven't found the right pattern yet despite checking out 4 sock books from the library.

I did begin some felted mocs but the pattern was unclear so I'm waiting to hear back from the designer for clarification.

Today...

I am going to Portland to meet some women from MDC.

I will get sil's baby's pants done so I can start on the shorts for a trade. I didn't think things through and forgot that the needles I needed to complete the shorts were in the pants. I've been putting off getting the pants done too. At least they will be done and then I can weave in a frekin' thousand ends (stripes).

I'll bring my big honkin' camera take pics of all the cute ladies and kids if they will let me.

:D

Froggy sweater is done

It became a froggy sweater because I picked froggy buttons.

This is the most accurate pic I could get of the color. The next pic looks kinda funky, it just did not photograph well at all.

Do frogs go with this sweater? Who cares!? I like it.

I got sock yarn

Maybe its because I have to do everything Michelle does and she was making a pair last week. Or I could be inspired by Jaime, who endless churns out socks. Or most likely it was that it was $3 for Magic Stripes yarn.

But I bought some sock yarn. Now I need a pattern.

Oh, and the poppy sweater is nearly done. I got some blue to trim it with and make pockets. So it will be done tonight!

Uma Thurman

Did you see this yet?

The coolest sweater/vest/cardigan thingy

That's Uma from "Be Cool"

She's wearing a hooded sweater with no arms. I also is open in the back so her upper back and arms are exposed.

Its like a hood then a big hole for the arms to go through and then starts again at the bra line.

Its awesome and of course I want one.

New Knitty

made for a man but designed by a woman.

Knitty

In most cases at least.

It makes me thankful all over again that my dh doesn't like sweaters. I mean I would knit him one but dang, that would take forever!

cafe au lait

Work in progress

Well, this is actually some yarn I got in a swap. Its some kind of thick and thin alpaca. I'm thinking of doing a spiral knit scarf.

Sil's OSU pants (their favorite team, and that's OREGON State Univ, not OK)

Look at all those ends I get to weave in!

And the California Poppy Cascade 220 knit in one piece sweater for the baby.
This is the back and about half of the sleeves. I'll get it done before it gets cold, promise.

Actually not that long of a list. Of course there is a lot in my head waiting to be started, its just not on the needles yet.

Two new things

Wednesday at SnB, several new people came. One person invited one person who invited another and so on. It was so crowded we ran out of chairs. Don't know how to the long term members felt about all the newbies since they obviously are a bit different from us on many levels. If nothing else we can be good examples, right ;)

I helped a few people learn to knit and so did Michelle and others.

I worked on this

And finished it up this morning while knitting at the library with two friends.

We did a swap during SnB, well Jaime and I did because no one else brought stuff. I got a skein of Lamb's Pride in a nice burnt orange/sienn-ish color. (looked it up its called Sunburst Gold
)

I started this scarf with it tonight.

Basically its the brim of the Coronet with a few extra purls to thicken it.

What I really want to make someday is

but I need to find the pattern.
