Sorry, no pictures

I knit a pear, pickle and pumpkin then mailed them out without taking a picture. The recipient agreed to send me a picture though.

I finished a hat for Amara last night. It started out for a friend's 2 month old and may still go to her as its a bit too short for Amara. Its a cute fit on her though, it sits right above her bangs so its not for super cold weather.
I'll just have to decide later what I want to do.

I wrote the pattern myself and am having a few people try it so I can make sure my directions make sense before I send it out to the world to share.
I've worked out sizing for baby through adult as well. I'm planning to test the adult size for myself as soon as I get my sil's b-day present done.

I'll post pictures soon, I promise.

Sil's b-day gift

I think I found something perfect. She's in Alaska so knit goods are always appreciated there.

Are those jingle bells I hear?

I am working on Christmas gifts. I finished a poncho for Lilly, my niece. I'll make a matching hat and post pics when its finished.

I'm thinking of making my in utero nephew a blanket. I've got some white acrylic that's been sitting in my closet for about 6 years that should be used up. I'm thinking just a simple crochet with ribbon trim.

I did manage to sew something today. It took me all day long with the starting and stopping of a mother of a newborn.

Here 'tis

see how the giraffe's face lines up perfectly on the tab?

Screwed up hat

I was following th pattern at hello yarns for the gnome hat but then boofed it as I was doing the decreases so I made it my own after that.
It is a finiky single ply yarn and not tightly spun, I figured it would be ruined if I frogged it.

So I added some of my own touches. You can't see it in the pic but its made to tie on the side not right under the chin.

This is an amazing yarn. It feels like the softest silk. I adore it! Too bad it came in a swap from a woman who got it in a swap from someone else who doesn't know where it came from. I'd love some more.

The best thing though is I finished it in one night even with all the nursing ds needs to do. I loves me some super chunky yarn!
