Woo hoo!

okay, I'll have to get more pics taken later to add. I'm just so happy its finally working.

I'm really into fingerless gloves so I'm making lots of those for gifts. I've finished one blue pair. A red pair for me. I'm working on some from recycled yarn (an old maternity sweater or mine).

The yarn is a 3 ply with brown, pink and brick red. I've got a lot so I think I'll make the mitten/fingerless gloves and a matching hat. Then I'll hord the rest for later.

I'm going to a MOMS club Christmas party that has a gift exchange. I'm thinking of putting together a learn to knit kit with some things I already have, except I'll need to buy needles as I won't give any of mine away! I've got some Cascade Encore in hot pink so I'll print off some online instructions for making a garter stitch scarf, put that in the bag with the needles and yarn and maybe a small lotion sample. I've got this cool translucent bag I can put it all in and maybe print off a label on my computer for the outside of the bag.

Should I get some stubby staight needles or circulars?

Sounds so cute your gift bag idea. I would just use the stubby needles even though I am a circular needle gal. I think it would look cuter in the gift bag. What a great idea! Where did you get the fingerless glove pattern?
